South Africa’s northern most province, Limpopo Province is a land of breathtaking contrasts
that is characterised by hot savannah plains and mist-clad mountains, age-old indigenous forests
and cycads alongside latter-day plantations. For the nature lover, the area abounds in game
farms, natural heritage sites and nature reserves, as well as the northern half of the infamous
Kruger Nation Park.
The entire province is the perfect venue for mountain biking, canoeing and kayaking, sailing,
windsurfing, hot air ballooning, horse riding, trout fishing and angling. Limpopo is regarded

affording visitors to the area a unique scenic, historical and cultural experience. A visit to the
natural hot water springs should soothe the soul and relax the mind and the Nylsvley wetlands is a
birdlovers’ paradise with a huge concentration of waterbirds.
In the Makapans Valley is a large and near complete record of human occupation, dating back over
3 million years ago the th times of Ape-man, this area is in line for a World Heritage Site.
There are various self-drive meanders where you can explore the area at your leisure and enjoy the
pleasures that Limpopo has to offer, from Baobabs and mountains to fruits and flowers to history
and culture, and not to monetion the wildlife, Limpopo has it all.
